The Tactical Nationally Accredited RSA Course is available in Flexible Study options – online via eLearning or external using workbooks.

This course is based on the NEW SITHFAB009A training standard that has now made the previous THHBFB09B course obsolete.

Get the knowledge and skills to work within the licenced premises industry with confidence, competence and full compliance under the current laws surrounding liquor and its service. By law - this course is required for all staff with patron contact on licenced premises, such as bar staff, courtesy and security staff (Office of Liquor and Gambling Commissioner Approved Crowd Controllers SA), waiters, concierge, door and reception staff.

 

Includes a comprehensive workbook and OLGC approved SITHFAB009A certificate on completion.

A responsible person is a person approved by the licensing authority, as fit and proper to be actively involved in the supervision or management of the business conducted under the licence. This includes persons providing security (crowd control) conducted under the licence. Our professional instructors will help you understand the Liquor Licensing Act, the legal responsibilities associated with the service of alcohol, the legal responsibilities associated with approved crowd controllers (South Australia); Harm Minimisation and the role of the licensing authority including:

  • Facts about alcohol
  • Intoxication
  • Underage and alcohol
  • Duty of Care
  • Refusal of Service

Approved Crowd Controllers SA

RSA certification is a mandatory training requirement for all Approved Crowd Controllers in SA. Complementary RSA training is provided to all persons undertaking our NEW CPP20207 Certificate II in Security Operation qualification. If you are currently licensed, but need your RSA accreditation in order to apply for an Approved Crowd Controller Licence through the Office of Liquor Gambling Commissioner (OLGC); simply contact us for a list of dates and venues.

How do you apply to be a responsible person?

 You need to apply to the SA Liquor Licensing Commission to be a responsible person, part of this process will be to supply evidence of the national RSA certificate, which can be done with us.
