The program can be fully customised to deal with specific issues that may be unique to a particular area. It includes the use of restraints and non-violent intervention techniques. Unfortunately violence towards health-care staff and other professionals is an increasing part of daily hospital life and is an occupational hazard that jeopardises the health and safety of anyone in close proximity to an incident.
