Refund Policy

This Policy applies to existing students and all individual’s who apply for enrolment or a guarantor or third party responsible for student fees and charges. At Tactical Training, our professional team will make every effort to ensure you get the required information to make informed choices about the training qualifcation that's right for you. You will be extended the courtesy of:

  • sufficient time to review your course structure and pre-course materials
  • an opportunity to participant in a security introduction course free of charge to ensure the course option you wish to undertake is the right choice for you
  • time to review our web-site providing information and course details in PDF format
  • as much time as you need (where required) to ensure you are eligible for security licensing
  • the benefit of asking as many questions you like about training delivery options
  • the benefit of asking questions about how you will be assessed

Tactical Training Course Cancellation

There may be occasions when cancellations are made by Tactical Training due to the failure of a class or program to meet a minimum participation requirement, an instructor vacancy, facility conflict or safety issue, or other unforeseen event. In the case that Tactical Training cancels a program or class in its entirety, registered participants will receive a 100% refund or account credit, at the discretion of the participant. In the case that a cancellation occurs during the course of a program or class, the refund or credit will be prorated.

General Participant Withdrawal

A participant wishing to withdraw from a class, or program that has not been canceled by Tactical Training must make a request to be withdrawn in writing at least one week before the scheduled start of a class. The participant will receive, at the discretion of the participant, either a 100% account credit or a refund less a 25% withdrawal fee on condition that all learning materials are returned in the same condition as they were provided. Additional fees may be deducted for resources that are not returned or damaged.

Medical/Hardship Withdrawal

A participant may request a withdrawal due to an unforeseen medical or hardship condition less than one week prior to the class or during the course of the activity. The request must be made in writing. The participant may receive a full or prorated refund less a 25% withdrawal fee or account credit based on a case by case review. Additional fees may be deducted for resources that are not returned or damaged.

General Participant Withdrawal after 7 days notice has expired

A participant wishing to withdraw from a class, or program that has not been canceled by Tactical Training who fails to make a request to be withdrawn in writing at least one week before the scheduled start of a class is not eligible for a refund but can:
  • nominate a person to take their place to start on the dates allocated to you
  • make arrangements with the nominated person to recover fee's from them personally

Should the nominated person be unable to attend the course, a substitute participant can take their place. If a participant is unable to find a replacement they can nominate to complete the course at a later stage. Courses are held year round and a suitable time frame can be accommodated to suit.

Special circumstances related to withdrawal requests not specifically covered within this policy will be determined at the discretion of the General manager.
